Cartoon Exhibition

I went to an exhibition with my two classmates in Cultural Art Centre on Changjiang Road on December 25th in 2008. The exhibition was about Asian cartoon characters and video games around the world. I arrived at about 1 pm and met them in front of the gate. We chose the exhibition because I really liked cartoons and computer games and I thought it would be exciting if I could see the cartoon characters at the show.
One of my favorite artwork was a picture of the king in the game War craft. The picture was so specific that I could see all the details of the Litch King. For in the game, all the people are very small and I cannot observe them clearly. It was my first time to see the details of amazing people. And I felt excited because they were so cool.
When I entered in the hall, I just could not believe my eyes. I saw thousands of models of cartoon characters and most of them came from Japan. I rushed into the exhibition immediately. The most exciting part was the cosplay performance. Many performers wore the costumes in the show and they looked like the real ones in the TV or in the computer games. I could not stop taking photos and scream with joy. Some of the pictures were colourful but most of them were used as shadings and of course they looked so nice.
We spent all the afternoon in the Art centre and enjoyed ourselves very much. I found that most of the cartoons in Japan had more details than other kinds of cartoons. And the cartoons were actually brilliant for the details.

An Italian Restaurant

I went to an Italian restaurant which was called Bella Napoli and located on the second floor of Deji Square in Xinjiekou on the 7th of March. I had lunch with two of my friends. We took part in foreign language festival and went to the restaurant together. We chose that restaurant because one of my friends introduced this restaurant to us and he told us that the dishes in the restaurant are very tasty. He had been to this restaurant many times before.
We arrived at about 11:30 and we felt a little hungry. However, when we saw the menu and the price of the dishes, we did not feel hungry anymore because of the expensive price. I just ordered a plate of spaghetti and an ice cream, but that cost me 118 RMB. Isn’t that amazing?
Generally, the spaghetti tasted very delicious and I really liked it. In China, we always use chopsticks to eat noodles but in the restaurant, we had to use forks for there were no chopsticks there. And that was very inconvenient to use forks and I ate very slowly. I found that I had to learn how to use forks correctly before I go abroad.
I think the environment of the restaurant was perfect because there were some Italian songs played and we could see the street by the window. It was so quiet in the restaurant that we almost could hear our breath though there were many people there. Mostly people came from foreign countries such as USA, UK and French. The service was also very nice. However, I would never recommend other people to come to this restaurant because the price was too high and that was not worth.
