Last month, I went to a lecture with my parents on Saturday afternoon. The lecture was about application to the university in the US and how to arrange our time wisely.
The speech began at 1:30 in the afternoon and my parents and I arrived at about 1:20. The lecture was held by SPD Bank and was in Xinjiekou. There were many people went there and most of them were students and their parents and they also wanted to go universities in the US in the future. I was very excited to see such a lot of students who maybe go to the same place with me.
The speaker said that we have to pass SAT in order to get into the top 50 universities in the US. Also, we need to have a high TOFEL mark and GPA. That made me a little nervous because I knew that SAT was very difficult for me and I even had not started to prepare for it yet. Fortunately, she told us about how to prepare for SAT efficiently. I decided to make a plan for my future after I listened to this lecture. She also talked something about how to get applied by a good university. I listened very carefully and made a lot of notes. I found that I need to get scholarships because it cost too much in the US if I go to university there.
I thought that the lecture came as a great beacon light of hope to me because I really needed to start on preparing for my SAT and TOFEL. Without her speech, I even did not know what to do. I was really grateful to this lecture and glad that I did not miss it.
